The first ever Cycle & Golf Challenge event with George Hincapie at his Hotel Domestique in upstate South Carolina was an enormous success, with 100% of participants saying they would sign up for next year!

The event scoring was very unique, combing a person’s low net golf score with 3 x their cycling time on a 5-mile uphill course.

We plan to return to the Hotel Domestique May 5 - 8, 2024 to host the 2nd annual event to see who is the best golfer / cyclist.

2023 London Marathon

2023 London Marathon Results

This was the best experience I’ve ever had at a marathon.

A truly awesome event from start to finish

Fantastic experience with great organizers. Friendly, fun, helpful …. This always attracts other positive people

I believe the best part of the group trip was having Ted take the runners to the start (having a warm room to hang out) and Ted giving us advice on time to head to the start

Not only do you guys perfectly handle all the details and make it so easy, you guys are fun as hell and so awesome to hang around with

I always love the dinners but in regards to the race, the private hotel conference room at the start was hands down worth every penny!!

We really appreciated the easy logistics and clear communications - the food and wine was amazing - SO well done!!!

The program was well organized and the group interaction between couples was outstanding.  You make everyone feel comfortable and welcome to the group.  Thank you so much!!

London Marathon Athlete Feedback

“The London Marathon was my 11th marathon . In the 10 previous marathons I had to wait for hours under a sometimes wet , cold or very hot tent until our starting wave was called. So I really enjoyed waiting for our turn to start running , in a cozy hotel (Clarendon) with coffee , water and a real bathroom and great company.”

“One of the things I enjoyed the most were the dinners because I like meeting people from other countries who share the same passion for running. I also loved both restaurants. “M “ the restaurant on Victoria Street was delicious , I had one of the best steaks in my life. The Indian restaurant I loved because everyone was so happy about the race and the food was incredible. So both restaurants were great choices and the pre marathon dinner at the hotel was great too. Great choices.”

“The Conrad was super comfortable and was not a huge hotel which I appreciate , because the staff was really helpful and friendly , rooms were big and modern. Also , I appreciated it was walking distance to the restaurants and close to main London attractions.”

“Hassle free marathon and trip experience – meals, hotel, access to the marathon expo, start line, close stay at the finish line. Took away all the stress of the unknowns involved in running a marathon in a foreign country.”

“A great experience with a unique group of people. A fabulous way to experience the London Marathon!”

2021 Berlin Marathon Results

  • Achieve Racing LLC (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

After cancelling 2020 it sure was great to be at a mass event again. The 2021 Berlin Marathon was a spectacular event on a beautiful warm, sunny day.

There were 5 Achieve Racing athletes that braved the Covid restrictions and protocols in Berlin. We had some spectacular meals, lots of laughs, and learned a great deal about life in East Berlin before the wall came down.

Other than the race itself the highlight was having Berlin’s most famous marathoner, Uta Pippig (3 x Berlin Champion, 3 x Boston Champion) join us for our Celebration dinner on Sunday night and present the Champions trophy to David Wright.

RESULTS

  1. David Wright, Ecuador - 3:26.51

  2. Joe Shrader, Ohio - 4:19.03

  3. Kori Kawczynski, Ohio - 4:28.17

  4. Mike Byam, Michigan - 4:43.13

  5. Brian Wolfburg, Florida - 5:07.45
